Inka provides a personalised and intuitive service to support and connect people to information about long term health. It works like a social bookmarking tool, where people on the web can save websites related to long term health conditions into one place, self rating each page and creating a user generated list of valuable websites, all tagged with descriptor words.
The journey of INCA dates back to the initial research of Snook. Many of the people that were interviewed talked about websites online not being correct or detailing the worst scenario outcome to living with a long term condition. When meeting Mary and Karen, they came up with a peer review system online for people living with LUPUS that would help their network and newcomers to find the best websites online to help them find information about their condition.
